5Lording over the Anthill, Undeath or Not. Dec 22, 2007
When you think of undead attacks, you need to cover all the bases. You have to think of the livestock, think of the way malls will be hit, and think of college campuses. After you have all of this down you will, undoubtedly, find that you have a brave new world standing directly below most major metropolitan cities. In Zombies 6 the underground lair of railway dragons is explored and then some, finding that subways are not safe places to be when the undying starts and that you can definitely shaft people below ground as easily as you can above.
This is a great expansion set for a game that keeps on living.

First and foremost, this is not a stand-alone game and needs the basic set. You need zombies and lots of `em and, by now, you might even need to get you a few extra. Just like the sets that keep on keeping on, you also have bags of (1) zombies, (2) dogs, and (3) babes to keep the world from being too static. You also have a few rule changes by now but the basic premises still apply: flip a card and add ground, get a playable card that can perhaps help you and can doubtlessly cause other players problems, and wait for the final piece of terra to be flipped so you can escape ALONE. Here you play to be king/queen of the castle - if the subjects fall then they fall and that does not concern you. You sometimes run and sometimes fight and combat is easy enough (6-sided die, 1-3 bad times and 4-6 is good fun) to keep you from bogging down. The expansion cards can also be placed inn the regular deck so, when played you can have a giant metropolis with multiple escape routes.
The bigger your game gets, the better the play gets.

If you are new to the series, check out Zombies! and see how it fits your idea of fun. I like it because it gives me something to play with everyone BUT it doesn't force me to play nice (a good thing when you have relatives to play games with). I also like the fact that all the stuff can come together, making a gargantuan game that 6 people can play.
I hate board games, too, normally finding them boring with a few exceptions. This is definitely one of those exceptions.

4Good Expansion despite poor Sewer travel rules.Oct 16, 2007
The Sewer rules in this expansion were disappointing. The real value here is the additional tiles it gives you. There are six Subway tiles (Complete with new Subway travel rules), more intersections and named bulidings, plus a whole lot of event cards. You will need the Main game to utilize this set. Although it is not as good as Expansion 2, (Zombie Corps(e)) 3, (Mall Walkers), or 4 (School's Out) it still holds it's own. One of the GREAT things about this expansion is that the tiles are mixed in with the city tiles, and DO NOT Need to be kept in a separate stack. I like that a lot! The lost star is for the sewer rules. I feel they could have done better. All in All Thumbs up!
