This product is currently out of stock
Description:

Precision Gem 7 Piece Dice Set, including d6, d4, d10 (0-9), d12, d20, d10 (00-90) and d8. Smoke Quartz with numbers (not inked). Manufactured by GameScience in the USA.

Features:

GameScience makes Precision dice that will role true every time. Edges are sharp, as these dice are not tumbled like most brands.

Lack of tumbling leaves a small imperfection on each dice that can easily be polished down with model-grade sandpaper.

Numbers are impressed in the plastic, but not inked. If you would like to ink your dice, use an ultra-fine-point permanent marker (ie Sharpie), or purchase the pre-inked version.

Priced per set, as described.

Manufactured by GameScience, in the USA!

5Better Than Tumbled DiceAug 03, 2009
After using the tumbled dice in our campaign for quite some time, you came to the inevitable conclusion that some dice simply rolled badly. One d20 die we called the "Crit Dice". Typically you either rolled a fumble (1), or you rolled a critical (20). The frustration had at the gaming table let me to go out and purchase about six sets of these Gamescience dice in varying colors.

You'll notice the edges aren't rounded off, and instead come to a tight corner, which can be sharp on the D8 dice. After rolling these dice, I hardly ever want to go back to the tumbled dice unless I have to. These simply roll more evenly across the range of numbers - as they should.

If you're trying to decide whether you want to get the dice with the painted numbers or unpainted, I would recommended doing the unpainted. For light colored dice you can use a fine-tipped Sharpie, and on the darker dice a fine-tipped white-out pen works just as well. Also each die is going to have a slight bump on the side which you'll want to wear down a bit with some fine sandpaper as well. Definitely worth the time and you'll probably save money in the long run especially if you're getting multiple sets. It also helps to make the dice more balanced if you do it yourself, from what I understand.
